My Story

AAFuTC_kRuA_1774456693811_edited.png

As a graduate of Peace College with a bachelors degree in psychology in 2006, I had a desire to combine my interest in psychology with my love of children and learning. School Psychology merged these areas perfectly and I received my masters in school psychology in 2010. From the very start of my career, first with Martin County Schools, I was drawn to the children with autism that I encountered. I did everything I could to provide support for those students in particular. It seemed a natural step when, in 2013 I pursued my Board Certification in Behavior Analysis. ABA therapy and consultation allowed me to have the impact on individual children with autism that I had craved. I enjoyed five years working in ABA therapy before returning to my other passion, assessment. I have been focusing primarily on autism evaluation since 2020, allowing me to further hone my understanding of individuals with autism, as well as the many factors that must be considered when determining if a child falls on the autism spectrum. I have also expanded my interest and assessment skills in identifying children with ADHD and helping parents understand both of these diagnoses in support of their child's unique strengths and needs.
